Questions and Answers
Q: Is the elevator being demolished and removed as part of the scope of work?
A: Elevator demolition and removal is being bid as an “alternate item” under the scope of work. This is noted on the Revised Request for Bids, which includes this work as an alternate bid item. This cost may be factored into the overall bid price subject to the availability of funding to undertake this work.
Q: Will the debris on the first floor be removed? The RFB says no demo will occur on the first floor, and that this floor is to be protected.
A: The debris on the first floor will be removed, while some materials on the first floor will be set aside and protected. Owner will work through this with the contractor prior to the start of work. This is noted on the revised Request for Bids.
Q: Is cleaning up the debris on the stairwell between the first and second floors included in the scope of work?
A: Yes, this is included. Please include this in Bid Item 1. This is noted on the Revised Request for Bids.
